What's different is the user interface the Plus build has a modern Qt based UI which supports all new features that have been added since the project went open source. Forums > Software, Hardware and General Services > sandboxing & virtualization > Sandboxie (SBIE Open Source) Plus & Classic > Sandboxie Technologies (SBIE Open source) Discussion in Sandboxie (SBIE Open Source) Plus & Classic started by bo elam. Both have the same core components, this means they have the same level of security and compatibility. Sandboxie is available in two flavors Plus and Classic. An isolated virtual environment allows controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing. It creates a sandbox-like isolated operating environment in which applications can be run or installed without permanently modifying the local or mapped drive. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur). Thanks to SnDPhoenix: By adding to your ini file: ClosedFilePathfirefox.exe,DeviceAfdClosedFilePathfirefox.exe,DeviceTcpClosedFilePathfirefox.exe,DeviceUdpClosedFilePathfirefox. Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. Came across this tip over at Sandboxies forum and it seems to work fine here. Sandboxie allows you to run your browser, or any other program, so that all changes that result from the usage are kept in a sandbox environment, which can then be deleted later. And I don't trust at all these awful DRM programs.Run programs in a sandbox to prevent malware from making permanent changes to your PC.

During installation, the game tries to install several things:- DirectX (even though I already have the latest version, DirectX files are still dropped into the sandbox)- Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2005 (I also have it installed already, as well as 2008's)- 2 Tages drivers in the sandboxed C:\Windows\System32\driversDespite the fact that no error popped up during installation, I cannot play: launcher.exe seems to work, but when witcher.exe is executed it fails with a WER message (Windows Error Reporting, I suppose). I also looked at the couple of FAQs and sticked threads with no luck.Installation mentions no error and behaves as if everything worked properly. I've installed it into a sandbox, but I'm not 100% certain that it's the cause. Sandboxie 1.0.3 Plus / 5.55.3 Classic changes: added mechanism to hook Win32 system calls on windows 10 and later, this should resolve the issue with Chromium HW acceleration. Hello everyone!I'm here because of an issue with playing The Witcher Enhanced Edition on Vista.
